In the early Roman calendar, March was actually celebrated as the first month of the year. Strange to think about but the winter season was kind of an undocumented time (like 50 days!), eventually, In order to synchronize their calendar with the lunar year, January and February were added. The reason this is significant is because February 

(From the Latin word februa, “to cleanse”.) was a time of cleansing and letting go of the past in order to make way for the rebirth of Spring.


NOW..In Louisiana we have a much different idea of what “letting go” means before lent comes. Our traditions run deep and while the rest of the country is setting their New year resolutions and trying to burn off all that Eggnog and pecan pie, we’ve just moved on to King cake and drive thru Daiquiris. 


This year Glow is challenging you to find some balance. We started off strong with our New Year cleanse and we were blown away by how many of you participated. We are inspired by YOU GUYS, so before we just roll into another month without a plan.. Lets keep up the momentum and hit the ground running! Are you as excited as we are?? Because our team is doing this right alongside you! 

How many of us want to leave behind bloating in 2022? How about constipation, inflammation, chronic stomach discomfort? What about anxiety, depression, brain fog, irritability?

What are you struggling with in your health journey? 


Did you know that at least 70% of our immune system is ruled by the gut?? Hippocrates himself said that “all disease begins in the gut” and so far, we've found that to be an accurate statement.


So what does that even mean and how do we improve our gut health besides just eating more vegetables?


Let’s get sciencey for just a sec, we won't be here long! I promise. 

But if you blindly trust us and want to skip right through to the nitty gritty “HOW TO” portion, we aren't judging you.  


What we do know:


Your gut bacteria and the integrity of your gut lining strongly affect your health.

Your immune system then recognizes these foreign molecules and attacks them — resulting in chronic inflammation.

Chronic, systemic inflammation is now believed to be one of the leading drivers of some of the world’s most serious conditions. These include obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, and numerous others.

What this 3 week challenge will consist of weekly emails, daily guidance with the group and we will end the 3 weeks with a Fermenting & Sprouting Cooking Class!


Week 1: Gently prepare your body for detoxification. We’ll be clearing out some things and talking about substitutions! What's destroying your gut biome??


Week 2: Make way for a healthy gut by giving your digestive system a break beforehand! Week 2 we learn all about eating simply, what's a mono meal and how do we incorporate them into our day to day?


Week 3: Eat Clean, Live Dirty! Colonize your gut with diversity! Bacteria is your friend! Yes, fermented foods. Variety variety variety!
